I had been using Worlds Best Cat litter (corn-based) but it is somewhat dusty and I felt like it was contributing to his wheezing and sneezing. I bought this litter in hopes that it would help. However, it seemed to make my cat&#8217;s symptoms WORSE. This litter IS dusty (a fine grey dust fills the air when pouring and scouping) it was making me sneeze too. I don&#8217;t know how they can market this stuff as &#8220;Respiratory Relief&#8221; when there is this much dust. Clay litter contains fine silica dust. Not to mention, as a litter in general, it is one of the worst I&#8217;ve tried for masking smells, it&#8217;s like a 2\/10 in that department (compared to Worlds Best Corn unscented litter, now the room smells like a zoo cage). Second, it&#8217;s uber-heavy and very hard to scoup. The clay gets stuck in the scouper and needs to be scraped off and constantly cleaned. My cats are getting it stuck in their paws and tracking it everywhere and licking it off can&#8217;t be good for them either. I&#8217;ve tried a LOT of litters over the years and my personal opinion is that this is a 2\/10 litter at best. Maybe it would work ok for other people and their cats, but it&#8217;s definitely not for us. And it did not help with my cat&#8217;s respiratory issues, it seemed to make them worse (than the corn based litter). I&#8217;m now switching over to a pellet (soy-based) litter which is stupidly expensive but so far his respiratory symptoms seem to be doing better.
