I got tired of having to drag out the ladder to rescue him. One day, as he was crying for help down from the tree, I walked outside, looked at him and said “You’re a cat…you can get down all by yourself!” He looked at me for a minute, the lightbulb in his little furry brain went off (the equivalent of a “oh yeah, I forgot”) and he got himself down, no problem.
